Green Weddings
As seen on Lifetime's
Choosing to go green for your wedding can be easier than you think. Try incorporating items that have longevity. Choose a cake topper that you'll love to use again after your wedding is over. This can be the same with flutes, serving sets or any other table items.
Give out gifts of small trees or cards with embedded flower seeds and have your guests plant these in your honor - it's a nice token of appreciation and you'll add a little life to our world. Other choices can be both green and nostalgic. Re-appropriate old china from family, friends or your neighborhood thrift store. Eclectic is in and mixing items from the past can be very fashionable. Or create menus or table markers out of recycled papers. Try a local printer and see if you can salvage any off cuts or scraps of paper.
Growing your own flowers can be green and save you a little at the same time. Or ask family and neighbors if you can pillage their flower gardens for a few gems. Lilacs are a great choice and add a beautiful aroma to your room.
It's easy to take the green step - even if it's a small one!
